Woven Fabrics Engineering

The research unit focuses on the development and application of quantitative methods for solving woven engineering problems. The team attempts to understand, analyze and predict complex woven structures' mechanical and thermal responses by using numerical analysis methods such as Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). The research is part of Textile Research Group, Faculty of Applied Sciences, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. The team is equipped with hardware and software for the manufacturing, geometrical modeling, and numerical analysis of woven fabrics.
